O. P. Tanksley
To ? deed
J. T. Trevillion
State of Mississippi
County of Jefferson...
For and in consideration of the sum of one dollar, cash in hand paid to me the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and the further considerations that the hereinafter described land shall be used as a white graveyard. I, O. P. Tanksley do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey and warrant unto J. T. Trevillion the following described lot or piece of land lying and being situated in the County of Jefferson, state of Mississippi, to wit:
Being at a stake near the Southeast corner of the present Trevillion Graveyard run thence west 203 feet to a stake thence North 91 feet to a stake thence East 203 feet to a stake and thence South 91 feet to a stake, the place of beginning.
Witness my signature this the 6th day of May 1924.
Note from me: I always thought the cemetery was one acre, but the measurments on the deed equal 18,437 sq. feet an acre being 43,560 sq. feet means this deed is for only approximately 1/2 acre. I think there might have been a deed in 1902 for a 1/2 acre and this deed 22 years later is for an additional 1/2 acre.
