Johnnie Harold Smith Sr. 74, of Fayette, passed away at his home Oct. 30, 2015. He was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, living in the Ebenezer Community most of his life. He was an electrician and member of the IBEW Local 480. In his retirement, he enjoyed gardening and making Blue Ribbon Cane Syrup. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church and attended Blue Hill Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Monk, and daughter-in-law Jeri Ann Smith. He is survived by his wife Patsy Smith of Fayette; four sons Johnnie H. Smith Jr. of Bogue Chitto, Earl Van Smith (Judy) of Brookhaven, James Bryant Jr. of Vicksburg and Robert Bryan (Debbie) of Crystal Spring; one daughter, Jeanna Bearden (Pat) of Pattison; and one sister, Georga Cox of Raymond. Service will be Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the Glenwood Chapel with the Rev. Cliff Nelson, Rev. Curtis Gibson and Rev. Dennis Lewellyn officiating. Burial will be at Trevilion Cemetery in Jefferson County. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson. Home. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Barr, John Earl Smith, Michael Bryant, Jason Bryant, Van Smith, Johnnie Smith Jr. and Cole Smith.

Mrs. Jeri Ann Smith, 63, a resident of Bogue Chitto, MS, passed away in Warren County, MS on Saturday, October 11, 2014. Mrs. Smith was born on October 19, 1950 in Brookhaven, MS to the late Everette and Margaret Smith.Mrs. Smith was a member of Antioch Primitive Baptist Church. She was a member of the Mississippi Craftsman Guild. She also was the previous owner/operator of Pet World of Brookhaven for 10 years and the current owner of Creations In Glass.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Alice Marie Powe.
She is survived by her husband, Johnnie “John” H. Smith, Jr. of Bogue Chitto ; her son, Caleb Bonds and his wife Heather; her daughters, Sydnett McNeese and her husband Tony, both of Bogue Chitto and Nikki Smith of Atlanta, GA; her grandchildren, Kimberly McNeese, Luke Ferrell, Mark McNeese, Calee Beth Bonds, Mollie Grace Bonds, Aubrey Edwards, J. T. McNeese, Sara Kate Bonds, Lola Edwards and Brandon Wilson.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church in Jefferson County. She will lie in state at the church prior to the services from 10:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow the services in the Truvillion Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, Brookhaven, MS from 5:00 P. M. till 9:00 P. M.

Services for Michael H. Smith, 79, of Natchez, who died Tuesday September 3, 2013 at his residence will be at 11:00 AM Friday September 6, 2013 at Morgantown Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Ellingburg officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home. 
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday at Laird Funeral Home and from 10:00 AM until service time Friday at Morgantown BaptistChurch. 
Mr. Smith was born January 14, 1934 in Port Gibson, MS, the son of Howard Smith and Agnes Juliana Howard Smith. He was a deacon and very active member of Morgantown Baptist Church. 
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Campbell Smith, two sons: Chuck Smith and Tommy Smith, all of Natchez, one daughter: Sieglinde Holland and husband Wayne of Angier, N.C., two granddaughters: Brittany Smith of Atlanta, GA and Delia Gray and husband Jon of Angier, N.C., two grandsons: Tyler Smith of Jeju Island, South Korea and Jonathan Gillis of Carboro, N.C., two great grandchildren: Reagan Gray and Julie Gray, one sister: Jeanette Balkcom of Natchez and one brother: Ronnie Smith and wife Jean of Natchez, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Frances Forrest Brown Smith, 70, born March 22, 1941 in Red Lick, MS; beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2011. A service will be at a later date. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her son, John Frances Smith of Pearl; sister, Rosalie Baldwin and brothers, Douglas Brown, Jimmie Brown, Rupert A. Brown, Alric Brown and Ray Brown. She is survived by her husband, John P. Smith of Pearl; daughter, Tina Smith of Pearl; adopted daughter, Windie Kopitskie of Pearl; sisters, Polly Jenkins of Vicksburg; Christine Walters of Lorman; Magdeline Barousse of Kenner, LA; Flora Ann Frasier of Lorman; and Linda B. Smith of Florence. She is also survived by a brother, Ezekiel Brown of Dallas, GA; loving aunts, numerous nieces and nephews, many loved ones and a special friend, Anthony Marvelli. A special thanks to all who have helped take care of Mrs. Smith, sent cards or gifts. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Hospice Ministries, 450 Towne Center Blvd, Ridgeland, MS.

 Funeral services for Blanche Smith, O'Quinn 89, of Baton Rouge, La; who died Sunday Feb.9,1997 at her residence, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fayette Baptist Church with the Rev. Edwin King officiating. Burial will be in the Fayette Cemetery under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
 Mrs. O'Quinn was born Sept. 17, 1907 in the Blue Hill Community of Jefferson County, the daughter of Neppie Roberta Humphreys Smith and Herbert Smith. She was the youngest of six children, all which proceeded her in death, including Aubrey, Howard, Zanie Smith Sandifer, Alma Smith, and Vida Smith Thomas.
 She was a resident of Fayette from 1940 to 1990; was an active member of Fayette Baptist Church and was employed during the time by the Jefferson County Library, Bab's Five and Dime, and for many years by Ball's Drug Store.
 She was also proceeded in death by her husband, John O'Quinn; her oldest son John Louis O'Quinn; and a grandson, Jones Carroll O'Quinn.  Survivors include two daughters, Louise Marchetti of Pensacola, Fl, and Ruby Koehler of New Orleans, La; Two sons, Byron O'Quinn of Baton Rouge, La. and Jimmie Dale O'Quinn of Plane, TX; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews including Mary Smith Wade of Brookhaven, MS.  Pallbearers include her grandsons, Christopher O'Quinn, John Louis O'Quinn Jr., Harry Seeger, and members of Fayette Baptist Church.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Laird Funeral Home for Mrs Agnas Howard, Smith, age 71, 202 Rushing St, Natchez, MS, who died Nov. 30, 1984 at Jefferson Davis Memorial Hospital. Agnas is preceeded in death by her husband, Howard Smith and her son, Michael Howard Smith.
Father Don DeMeules anf the Rev. David Merritt will officiate. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Family request that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

 Mrs. Vida Louvenia Smith, Thomas, 82, of 2047 Alyce Drive died Wednesday in Hinds General Hospital. Services are 2 pm at Westview Baptist Church with burial in Jackson Memorial Gardens. Vida was born the daughter of Herbert S. Smith and Neppie Roberta Humphreys. She was married on June 27, 1920 and is survived by her husband, Louie Thomas of Jackson; Son, Jewell Thomas of Natchez; daughters, Mrs. Myrtis Sours, Mrs. Billie Meadows and Mrs. Nancy Breland, all of Jackson. Mrs Myrtil Payne of Biloxie, Mrs Louvenia Patrick of Terry; Mrs Zanie Anderson of Monterey, Calif; and Mrs. Zadie Harrigill of Tunica, LA. Sisters, Zanie Sandifer of Natchez, and Mrs. Blanche O'Quinn of Fayette; 22 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
Sept. 6, 1978 
 Funeral services were held in the Ephesus Baptist Church in Jefferson County Friday at 1 p.m. for Aubrey Brown Smith, 66, who died at the Mercy Hospital in Vicksburg on Sept. 5.
Burial was in the Ephesus Cemetery. He is survived by three children, William T. Smith of Vallejo, Calif; Billy Ruth Meadows of Jackson, MS; and Netti Guidon of Fayette, MS; three sisters, Mrs. C.E Sandifer of Natchez, Mrs. John L. O'Quinn of Fayette, and Mrs. L.J. Thomas of Jackson; one grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

The death of Mr. Daniel "Dan" Smith, aged 76 years, occurred at his home in the second district, near Red Lick, on Saturday, July 11, 1931. 
Mr. Smith suffered a stroke of paralysis just a week prior to his death. The deceased was a citizen of Jefferson County for more than 50 years and was a respected citizen and a constant Christian. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church and a loyal supporter of its teachings and tenents. He and his good wife, who died just nine weeks before the summons came for him, reared a large family, all of whom reside in Jefferson County and are among useful and substantial citizens of the county.
Five sons, three daughters and 53 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren survive and morn thier loved one. The sons and daughters are Willie Smith, Perlie Smith, Mrs. J.K. McDonald, Tullie Smith, Mrs. Annie Humphreys, Mrs. J.C. Dillion and Sid Smith. We extend them sympathy.
The funeral was held on Sunday, July 12 and burial was at Ephesus Church Cemetery where Mrs. Smith was previously laid at rest.
